Rosary Procession Tri-Lingual
Join us on Friday May 11th for a tri-lingual rosary procession on the sidewalks of 20th Avenue.
Starting outside the church at St Dominic’s 20th Ave and 74th St we will pray in Italian, Spanish and English starting at 730PM. Candles being given out but we welcome you to bring your own statue from home or from any church group of Mary and Carry in the procession.
Overnight Retreat, Saturday may 19th and Sunday May 20th.
We welcome all youth 8th grade and older, or if younger please contact Kenny for approval, to this overnight retreat based on Disney Films. The retreat starts on Saturday at 1PM and ends on Sunday at 5PM. The majority of the retreat will take place in the gym and classrooms, youth to bring sleeping bags or inflatables for sleeping. Cost is only $10 and youth will be fed throughout the retreat. Retreat_Flyer
Mother’s day and father’s Day Cookie Fundraiser.
Please come to the churches of St Dominic’s, St Athanasius and St Frances Cabrini on these holidays and get great cookies for $5.00 each and help pilgrims that are fundraising for World Youth Day, all proceeds goes to help pilgrims to pay the cost of going to Panama.
CONEY ISLAND- Youth Ministry Fun Day/Altar Server Appreciation Day- June 7th
For $15 you get 2 hours on all the rides at Lunar Park and also get a meal at Nathans. A bus to leave from St Dominic’s, join us for faith and fun!
Feast of St Anthony- June 6th to the 11th
Come to St Athanasius (61st St and Bay Pkwy (from Wednesday Night, June 6th through Monday Night June 11th for rides, games, food and fun in and outside the school yard and gym of St Athanasius, fun for the whole family. Special Photo Booth DJ Music, Sausage and peppers, zeppelins and more, from 5PM-11PM each night. Fun for all ages, including casino inside.
Feast of Padre Pio- June 16th and 17th.
St Dominic’s will have a two day indoor and outdoor celebration for Padre Pio on Friday night 5-11PM and Saturday all day long from noon to 11PM.
Special Live music, Dj and Open Talent Show, plus Magic shows and Jester Jim. Flea market and Casino games indoors for adults. Spanish and Italian Food, plus Special Procession at 4PM and Outdoor Mass for Padre Pio on Saturday. Fun for all ages.

ST DOMINICS GOT TALENT
Sing, dance, tell jokes (clean), illusionist, mind reader, magician, draw, write poetry, rap, play an instrument, have an unusual talent or hobby?
Well share it with the parish and be on stage in the lights on 20th avenue. During the Padre Pio Festival, June 15-16th we will be having an open audition , then have a final performance on Saturday Night, where we will crown with respect and admiration the first ever St Dominic’s Light Shiner Got Talent Winner. ** Looking for someone who likes to take photos and videos and is willing to help us post on the internet live and highlights of the days during the feast, as well as create a 3-5 minute multimedia slideshow which will be shown at the end of each day.
** Looking for artists. (Would you be willing to do facepainting or sketches of people for an hour during the festival, may be able to pay you or you can donate services to the festival, AND looking for someone who is willing to do a live on site drawing during the festival in public and allow others to watch you paint.
