Story Time with Santa

Saturday, December 15th

Tickets $10.00 per person (children under 3 – free)

Youth will get to make a special Christmas project, Watch a Christmas Movie, Listen to Santa Claus himself, read a story to them all.  Fun and Games (Snowball fight with Snowman building) A chance to sit on Santa’s lap and receive a candy cane.  Christmas Caroling, DJ Music and More!

tickets can be purchased at the rectory, at Youth Ministry Programs in the gym and after masses on weekend on December 8th and 9th.

Every child that buys a ticket before December 8th will get a present from Santa.

High School Youth Center

We began our Wednesday Night Youth Center at St. Dominic’s on September 19th – 6:30 – 9:30 pm.

We welcome and invite all high school and college students to our night of faith and fun.  Snacks, pickup games, small group discussions and a prayer time are part of this weekly gathering that meets in the gym of St. Dominic’s.  Enter via 74th Street and we ask for a weekly donation of $1 or a one time $20 donation for the year.  Once a month we will help to prepare a meal, make sandwiches and invite older youth over 18 to assist on the actual Midnight Run

Our weekly Youth center for younger youth started on Friday, September 28th.  Youth are welcome to join us from 6:30 – 9:00 pm on these Friday nights at St. Dominic’s; A time to play and a time to build friendships.  Program is geared towards 5th through 8th grade but welcome younger siblings and parents to attend.  Enter Via 74th Street and we ask for a weekly donation of $1 or a onetime $20 donation for the year.

Virtus-Safe Environment Training class

There will be a class at St. Dominic’s in the rectory basement on Monday, November 5th.

Special Events

An Array of Hope.  Join us on Friday, October 12 from 7-9:30 pm for an evening of faith, hope and love through a musical, multimedia experience.  ALL ARE WELCOME.  Tickets are only $10 over 12 years of age and $5 for under 12 years of age.

A Day of Prayer and Celebration with the Magnificat and Bishop Barron

Txs and a possible bus going to the Historical Kings theatre on Flatbush Avenue for this day long celebration.  Saturday, October 6th.

Altar Server Day of Thanks and Fun

St. Simon and Jude, October 29th, 10 am-4 pm, include breakfast and lunch. Must register with parish and cost is free to altar server but $100 Per parish.  Make checks out to St. Athanasius Cluster Youth Ministry. A day of food, fun, and formation as we will have mass to start the day together and then be in small breakout sessions of faith and fun run by the coordinators of Youth Ministry.

Youth are provided a place to do their homework, play games, pray and grow through activities.  Snack and drinks are provided.  Enter Via 84th Street. Small parking lot and we ask for a weekly donation of $1 or a onetime $20 donation for the year.

Save the Dates

We are in need of High School through Senior Citizen’s to volunteer and help with our youth ministry.  Text or Call Kenny 718-490-4469 or show up on a Wednesday or Friday.  We do have a meeting for volunteers on September 18th – 7:00pm – 9:30pm in the rectory basement.

World Youth Day – Fundraiser – October 13th – 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm  International Food and Music Festival. St. Dominic.  All are Welcome – More info to come.   Save the date!  All proceeds goes to help pilgrims going to Panama in January to meet the Pope.
